Mini-Sota Minis Monthly...Monthly Newsletter of the MMPEAPSHA

Hi All:

This is the first issue of our new e-mail monthly newsletter of the Mini-Sota Minis, Pizza Eating And Psychiatric Self-Help Association....the next one will come out at the end of Sept., so if anyone has anything to contribute, please e-mail it to cbaumann@lkdllink.net by Sept. 25th and it will be included in the next one.

First Meeting was held on Thursday, August 12th, 1999. The meeting started off at Karl & Margaret Jenstad's home in Richfield...Jim & Carol Baumann showed up in "Dudley Doright", Jim's new Sooper Cooper (See pix below). After talking Minis for a while, went to a local pizza emporium where we were joined by Steve Kmetz (disguised as a waiter) and his neat Mini 1275 "S", "Owen" (also pix below). After dinner we went back to Karl & Margaret's and saw his (unnamed) "Mr. Bean Green" Mini 1000 undergoing restoration. A fine time was had by all, and we agreed to do it again soon. Time & place to be announced.

Our Next Gathering will be at the Wheels & Wings Show (and Warehouse Booksale) at Classic Motorbooks in Osceola, Wis. on Saturday, Sept. 11th, 1999. We'll be putting up a sign next to "Dudley Doright" hoping to attract new members....speaking of which.......

Welcome to new members Tom Schramm and Diane Roberge. Tom owns "about 35 Minis"...and says he has lots of spare parts. He's moving a whole bunch of his stuff from one barn to another, so if anybody would like to volunteer to help, you can call him at 1-612-937-2337.

CONGRATULATIONS to Steve Kmetz and his fiancee Heather!! They're getting married on Saturday, Sept. 4th! Here's Steve & Heather and their wedding limousine "Owen".

Notice the smiles.....Mini's will do to that to ya! Unfortunately, Steve & Heather won't be able to make it to "Wheels & Wings"........some excuse about a honeymoon! :o)

Wanted: Member Graeme Jury needs 4 10" wheels & tires (they can be old, rusty, and bald...but the tires have to hold air) to put on his '60 Austin 7 restoration project so that he can move it around. He also needs help putting his carb and gas lines on....so if you can help, or know of anybody who can (he's willing to pay), you can call him at 1-651-908-0245 (pager) or he'll be up at "Wings & Wheels".
