I'd like to remind you all that May 28th to June 5th is Worldwide Annual British Car Week! Soooo....let's all drive our Minis/MINIs this week. Take 'em to work, drive 'em to school, take 'em to the grocery store, or, just take 'em for a nice drive.......

Our Last Meeting.....
Our intrepid Tour Leader, Karl (U-Turn) Jenstad lines us up.....
......for the 1st Annual New London to New Brighton Mini/MINI Run. The event was a combined MINI-sota Motoring Society and MMPEAPSHA event held on a rainy Saturday morning, May 14, 2005. 20+ MINIs (some from as far away as Iowa and Wisconson) and 2 Minis showed up in the parking lot of McKale's Restaurant in New London, MN for the event. There was a 4 1/2 hour Tour with rally instructions and a shorter 3 hour Tour, both ending up at Freedom Park in Fridley.
Our little group opted for the shorter run and arrived first......
......and after the longer tour showed up, we all headed over to Broadway Pizza in Fridley to dry out and pig out. All in all, despite the weather, a nice way to start the Mini/MINI Season!
Our Next Meeting.....will be our Annual Summer Sunday (BYO) Picnic In The Park on Sunday, June 19th, 2005 from 12 Noon until ????? at Normandale Lake Park in Bloomington on W. 84th St. between Hwy 100 and Bush Lake Road. From I-494, get off at Exit 7 onto Hwy 100 (Normandale Blvd.) South, turn right onto W. 84th St. and the Park is a couple of blocks on your left.
This is a BYO affair, so please bring your own food and drinks (no alcohol, please) and something to share......we'll have the charcoal grills going if you'd like to cook out. The picnic tables are covered and there's a covered shelter near the parking lot.......so c'mon out rain or shine!
As Usual......our next issue will be coming out at the beginning of July (more or less), so, if you have anything you'd like to contribute to the newsletter...articles, news items, technical tips, helpful hints, Mini jokes, pix of your Mini, items for the "For Sale & Wanted" pages....send them to Jim Baumann at: cbaumann@lkdllink.net or call me at 1-320-963-5681. BBC Saturday Breakfasts....every Saturday morning (when there are no other conflicting events scheduled) there will be an Intermarque BBC (British Built Cars) Saturday Breakfast from 8:30 until 11:00 AM at MMPEAPSHA member Phil Vanner's "The Square Peg Diner", 2021 East Hennepin Avenue, in Mini-apolis.
